Sriwijaya Journal of Surgery (SJS) is a peer-reviewed, fully open-access journal for research and scholarship in surgery and related clinical sciences.

The journal covers general and gastrointestinal surgery, neurosurgery, orthopedics and traumatology, surgical oncology, thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, plastic and reconstructive surgery, pediatric surgery, urology, and related aspects of perioperative care. Submissions should make a clear contribution supported by sound methods, appropriate evidence, and ethical practice.

Article types

SJS considers original research articles, case reports and case series, narrative reviews, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses. See the Author Guidelines for preparation requirements.

Publication and access

SJS is published twice a year by HM Publisher. Manuscripts passing editorial screening undergo double-blind peer review by at least three independent reviewers. Published content is immediately accessible without a subscription or embargo. Authors retain copyright; see Copyright and Licensing for licensing terms.
